Adriana Barraza is a well-known Mexican actress, director, and acting coach born in Toluca, State of Mexico, Mexico. Barraza is best known for her work in both Mexican and American film and television productions including, Drag Me to Hell (2009), Thor (2011), Cake (2014), The 33 (2015), and Rambo: Last Blood (2019). As a director, Adriana has directed short films and theater productions.
Her breakthrough came in 2006 when she played the role of Amelia, the nanny of a young girl in the critically acclaimed film Babel which earned her a number of award nominations including an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and a Golden Globe Award. That same year, Adriana won a number of awards including, Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture and Best Ensemble Cast.
