Brian Douglas Williams is an American journalist and former television news anchor. Brian was a reporter for NBC Nightly News starting in 1993, before his promotion to anchor and managing editor of the broadcast in 2004.
Brian’s first job was at Perkins Pancake House where he worked as a busboy. His broadcasting career started in 1981 at KOAM-TV in Pittsburg, Kansas. He later worked as a general assignment reporter at WTTG-TV In Washington D.C., before moving to WCAU in Philadelphia, and WCBS in New York. He later joined NBC News in 1993, where he anchored the national Weekend Nightly News. In 1996 he was an anchor and managing editor of the News with Brian Williams Broadcast on MSNBC and CNBC.
