Jacobson started her journalism career at WPBN/WTOM-TV in Traverse City, where she was a fill-in news anchor, weekend sports anchor, producer, and editor. She also Covered a wide range of professional sports including the NFL and NBA as a weekend sports anchor at KXTV-TV, ABC’s Sacramento affiliate station in 1998.
In 2002, Dana joined ESPN where she spent a decade. She was named co-host of Cold Pizza in 2005 and transitioned with the show as it became First Take. She then left First Take on December 30, 2011, and returned to anchoring SportsCenter. Jacobson left ESPN on April 30, 2012, when her contract expired.
Jacobson’s tenure at CBS News started in 2015. On July 13, 2018, she has named the new co-host of the Saturday edition of CBS This Morning along with CBS correspondent Michelle Miller.
