Dana Frederick White Jr. is a prominent American businessman who is famously known as the president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), a global mixed martial arts organization. White is also the producer of Power Slap, a slap-fighting competition televised on TBS.
Dana started off as a bouncer at an Irish bar and when he was 17, he began boxing. Later on, White started a boxing gym in Boston before moving to Las Vegas where he continued running boxercise gyms.
In January 2001, after Lorenzo, Frank, and White acquired the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) for $2 million, White was appointed as the company’s president. Dana developed UFC into a highly successful business and its gross revenue rose to $600 million in 2015. On March 18, 2019, White signed a seven-year contract to remain president of the UFC.
Moreover, White is the producer of Power Slap, a slap-fighting competition televised on TBS, which debuted in January 2023.
