Anastos has had an amazing career. He has been a television anchor at three flagship network stations in New York; ABC 7, CBS 2, and FOX 5 News, and covered major stories including the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks and the 2020 global pandemic.
He started his career as a newsman at WRKO and WROR in Boston after graduating from Northern University. He then joined WPRI-TV in Providence as an anchor in 1976 subsequently joining WABC-TV two years later and worked there till May 1989. A month later, he then joined WCBS-TV as the lead anchor.
From 1995, Ernie had broadcast ownership of FM and AM radio stations in New York State and New England while also anchoring and hosting various works. In 2005, Anastos joined WNYW-TV and signed a whopping five-year $10 million contract. He had an impressive tenure at WNYW-TV and in June 2019 he decided to retire from his anchoring duties to enroll at Harvard Business School to study a curriculum of leadership and management courses.
Anastos is also the CEO of Ernie Anastos World Television, Inc. his own television production company creating entertainment programming.
