Rita Lynn Braver is a renowned American television news correspondent currently working with CBS News. Raver is best known for her investigative journalism on White House scandals such as the Iran-Contra affair. Rita was born to a Jewish family on April 12, 1948.
Braver’s tenure at CBS based in Washington D.C. started in 1972. She started as a producer before serving as CBS News’s chief law correspondent from 1989 to 1993. She was quite impressive and broke the story of the John Walker spy ring and also led CBS’s coverage of the Iran-Contra affair during the Reagan Administration as well as the drug trial of Washington D.C.
