Samantha Mohr is a renowned American meteorologist and media personality born in Columbus, Georgia, United States currently working at The Weather Channel based in Atlanta, Georgia. Samantha is best known for being crowned Miss Georgia in 1985.
At the start of her meteorology career, Samantha interned at FOX TV station KRIV. Later on, in 1989, she joined KTVK/Phoenix before moving to California where joined San Francisco’s CBS O&O KPIX as a Chief Meteorologist from 2001 to 2007. Samantha then joined The Weather Channel in Atlanta, Georgia where she is currently serving as a senior meteorologist.
Apart from being a meteorologist, Mohr has been active in a variety of community outreach activities and educational initiatives connected to weather and climate. She has been an advocate for increasing climate awareness and promoting weather safety.
