Jackson worked as a reporter and anchor for WTVM and WXTX, the ABC and FOX affiliates in Columbus, Georgia. She spent two years in the market covering national news, and some of the biggest stories of the community. This is during her time in Columbus, Sharifa covered the devastating tornadoes in East Alabama killing 23 people.
