Wolf Isaac Blitzer is a well-known American journalist, television news anchor, and author. Wolf has been a CNN reporter since 1990 and currently serves as one of the principal anchors at CNN. Blitzer is the host of The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.

Blitzer began his career after graduating from college in the Tel Aviv bureau of the Reuters news agency. Blitzer later became a Washington correspondent for The Jerusalem Post until 1990. Wolf also published articles in several Hebrew-language newspapers and in the mid-1970s, he worked for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) as the editor of their monthly publication, the Near East Report. In 1986, Blitzer became popular for his coverage of the arrest and trial of Jonathan Pollard, a US Navy intelligence analyst who was charged with spying for Israel.
Blitzer’s tenure at CNN started in May 1990 when he joined the channel as the cable network’s military affairs reporter. Two years later, Wolf became CNN’s White House correspondent until 1999 when he started hosting Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer, which was seen internationally in over 180 countries. In 2002, he anchored his own show, Wolf Blotzer Reports, which run until 2005.
In 2013, Blitzer anchored the 1 pm ET hour of CNN Newsroom which was later renamed Wolf and ended in 2018. Currently, Blitzer is hosting documentaries and serves as a principal anchor.
